WRAL has reported that Liberal special interest groups have a plan to band together and cause grief for the GOP majorities in the North Carolina government. It is a fairly interesting read to anybody who has followed this kind of thing. First, the media rarely reports on this kind of thing because it makes the political left look bad for actively planning to throw a monkey wrench in the state government. Second, if the people of North Carolina actually read this (and I desperately hope that they will), it will continue to shine a light onto the North Carolina Democratic apparatus that they don’t want to average North Carolinian to see.
It has taken a while, but the voters of North Carolina decided to try a new direction. The Republicans HAVE to deliver on vital reforms to this state. And they have to do so quickly.
I very much hope that the Republicans will at last overcome my first rule of politics: never underestimate the ability of the Republican Party to throw away an advantage and lose when they were in a position to win. Alternatively stated: never underestimate Republican incompetence.
The debate between Nate and Vox on the topic of hyper-inflation vs deflation as it relates to our economic woes seems to be on. This has inspired me to share my thoughts on the subject, which I have been kicking around for a while.
We have been printing money at a record pace for a while now. Interest rates from the Fed have been effectively zero since 9/12/2001 and Obama’s profligate spending has been driving us to the breaking point.
We know that Obama has some less than optimal ideas about America (see Dinesh D’Souza’s 2016 Obama’s America).
We also know that George Soros likes to short currencies and spread chaos. So, I think it’s entirely reasonable to operate under the assumption that what is going on is an organized effort to weaken the dollar to the point that it is possible for various left wing entities (communist China and various other socialist nations hold a considerable number of dollars) can dump their holdings, triggering hyperinflation, and throwing the United States into abject chaos.
As I said, it’s just a thought, perhaps hypothesis is a good word. I shall be actively looking for corroborating evidence in the coming months.
John Hawkins (proprietor of RightWingNews) has an excellent column at Townhall.com today. “Why The Hell Should Anyone Vote For The Republican Party?“. It pretty much sums up my feelings toward the GOP.
Our principles don’t have to change, but it’s time to accept that our strategy, our tactics, and our “leaders” aren’t getting the job done. We’re not going to beat people whose entire agenda is giving away “free” stuff with our current strategy, which seems to be to give away half as much while we continually stay on defense and whine that we’re not the ogres that they’re making us out to be. Until we accept that doing it like we’ve always done it for the last decade is going to get us what we’ve always gotten, we’re going to keep getting our teeth knocked in by the worst gang of cranky misfits, rabid socialists, and degenerate loons ever to hold office in this country.
This goes back to a very basic question that was asked in the aftermath of the 2008 debacle that gave us one very simple question that should have been answered but has not. What are the principles that the Republican Party stands for? And it is apparent that the principles that the GOP stand for are are whatever gives them the power and the money.
I frankly see no compelling reason to support the GOP (at least on a national scale) and I see a great compelling reason to NOT sully myself with their betrayal.
I haven’t written a lot lately, but I have been quietly watching and reading. I am left with the sad conclusion that the sole reason that there is yet another attempt to foist gun control on the American people is that there is a certain group that wishes for Americans to not be able to defend their life, liberty, and property. All the arguments in favor of gun control that I have seen have either been terribly slanted or outright lies.
But, what are we to really expect from an administration that has been looking for an excuse to grab people’s guns since the day they first set foot into the White House. I would point you back to 2010 when we were getting reports of “assault weapons” making their way to Mexico that were nothing but lies handed out by the government and reported by the media as fact.
But of course, we now know that the “assault weapons” that went to Mexico were handed to the drug cartels by the ATF. (speaking of which, if you haven’t read the book “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up” by Katie Pavlich you should.)
We, the people of the United States of America, are being set up. Our finances are a mess and our guns are the last line of defense of Liberty. Each of us, as Americans, have a responsibility to the ideals that this country was founded on: Personal responsibility and respect for God’s Divine Law.
